Marie Randle Horton

Marie Randle Horton, 58, of Tchula, MS passed away on Monday, December 02, 2024, at Merit Health Madison Hospital in Canton, MS. Marie was born March 27,1966 to the late Cal Randall Sr. and Lula McCoy Randall in Holmes County. Marie was a member of Mt. Calvary M.B. Church in Tchula, MS. Marie remained an active member until her health began to fail. Marie had an undeniable spirit and love for children. After graduating high school, she began a career of dedicated love and care by serving as a care giver for several daycare facilities. Later, she became employed with the Lexington Early Head Start, where she remained for approximately 24 years. Marie, realizing the need to enhance her skills, in 2008, at age forty-two (42), enrolled in college at Mississippi Valley State University. In 2012, she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her love, affection and care for Children allowed her to become an awesome grandmother for her grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. in December,1994 she gave her heart and hand in matrimony to Rayford E Horton, Sr. and spent the greatest thirty (30) years of her life in union. She will forever be loved and cherished in the hearts and souls of her family, her God-children, her co-workers, her church family and her classmates. Maries leaves to cherish her memories: a loving, caring and devoted husband, Rayford E. Horton, Sr; her children: Rikita, Greenwood, MS, Jarvis (Tiara), Lexington, MS, Rayford E. Horton, Jr., Baton Rouge, LA and Trayveon, Tchula, MS; nine (9) grandchildren: Jamaris, Jamiya, Jamirra, Jaymilya, Jamoni, Jaycee, Nyla Marie, Tristen and Jarvis Jr.; One (1) bonus grandson, Martrell Boyd; two (2) brothers: Calvin (Sally), Vancouver, WA and Roderick (Annie), Itta Bena, MS; three (3) sisters-in-Law and (1) brother-in- law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Friday December 13th family viewing at 11:00 am and public viewing will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00pm at Hairston-Hairston Funeral Home in Lexington, MS. Funeral Service will be Saturday at 12:00 noon at Guiding Light C.O. G.I.C., 304 Mulberry St., Lexington, MS. Interment in Ebenezer Cemetery, 3454 Ebenezer Rd., Lexington, MS.
