Billie Earl Gray

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me”. John 14:1 Mr. Billie Earl Gray Sr. was born on June 6th, 1947, in Sturgis, MS to Earl Gray and Ola Bell Bray. Billie gave his life to Christ a long time ago at Beria Church and later in life, he became a member of the Apostolic Garden of Love church with his two grandsons until his illness progressed. Billie attended Liberty Hall in Sturgis MS. Billie worked many different jobs early in life and later worked at Gulf States Manufacturing where he retired. Billie enjoyed spending time outdoors, fixing things around the house and on cars, cooking, watching westerns, and being with family and friends. Billie fought a lengthy illness until his peaceful passing on May 13, 2024, in Eupora MS, at the nursing home. He is preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Ola Bell Gray; two brothers: Carter Gray and Tommy Gray; two sisters: Lillie May Gray and Earlene Gray; and his former wife Mary Ann Gray. Billie leaves to cherish sweet memories of his loving wife Toni Gray; his children and stepchildren: Stephanie (Jeff) McMorris, Billie V. (Qui) Gray Jr., Jessica Gray, Jennifer Gray, Monica Owens, Jay Ruffins all of Starkville, MS., and Corry (Shedra) Clay of Pearland, TX; five sisters: Mary (Charles) Latham, Lisa Gray, Susan Gray, Ruth (James) Porter all of Starkville, MS., and Margie (Jacob) Lockett of Statesboro, GA; three brothers: Sammy (Valerie) Gray of Starkville, MS. Charles Gray of Columbus, MS, and Perry Gray of Detroit, MI; a brother-in-law, Angelo (Edna) Hall of Starkville, MS; nine grandchildren: Breanna (Tristan) Guy, Jalontay, Steven, Emanuel, Tyler McMorris, Chyna, Jaquez, Chamariaya and Jada Gray; seventeen step-grandchildren: The Gray family-Annalisa, Justin, London, Dallas Gray -The Rogers family-LaMaya, Jaylon, and Lamarcus Rogers. Anya Peeples, Zyqueria Brown, Kadence Clay. Strong family: Brianna Strong, Jade Strong, Jaylon Ruffin, Jacory Ruffin, Aderion “AJ” Merritt, Chayce Clay, Kason Ruffin; three great-grandchildren: Kyler Gray, Alaia Guy, and Landen Stevenson. He leaves one special sister Mary “Emma” Latham whom he loves to travel with. He also leaves behind a special grandson, Tay Tay, who provided help and sat at his bedside, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
