    Sister Callie Mae Gibson

    August 9, 1932 - February 23, 2022

    Callie Mae Gibson was the third child of seven children born to the late L.Q. and Mary Stallings Gibson on August 9, 1932. Callie Mae attended school at Gum Bottom. She worked for many years in food service. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking. Callie Mae was baptized at Gum Bottom Church which is currently Mt. Peiler M.B. Church. Callie Mae is preceded in death by her son, John L. Gibson; father, L.Q. Gibson; and mother, Mary Stallings Gibson. Callie Mae departed this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville, Mississippi. Left to honor her memories are her daughter, Annie Lowery; son-in-law, Jessie Lowery; three (3) grandchildren; five (5) great-grandchildren; one (1) great great-grandchild; one (1) brother, Archie Lee Gibson (Lois); one (1) sister, Louise Page; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
