In loving memory of Jimmy Henley November 1, 1955 - May 6, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jimmy Henley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Throughout his life, he embodied love, loyalty, and a deep appreciation for the people who shaped his journey. Jimmy was preceded in death by his cherished son, Edward Stewart, and his wife, Beatrice, as well as, his parents, James and Elizabeth Henley, his brothers, Cedric and Darrell Henley, and his sister, Kathrine Everett. To his beloved wife of 40 years, Marilyn, he leaves behind a legacy of love and gratitude for the life they built together. He admired her unwavering strength and believed in the bright future she would forge, carrying with her the memories and foundation they shared. To his family - his brothers and sisters - he cherished every moment, believing that family was meant to be a bond of unconditional love and support. Special recognition is given to his baby brother, Larry, and his sister, lovingly known as Pee Wee. Though he has left this world, he remains forever in our hearts. Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Marilyn Henley, and his grandchildren: Kourtney Williams (Christopher), Edward Stewart IV, Shantrice Stewart, and Brandyn Stewart. He was also blessed with eleven great-grandchildren. To his many friends, some of whom have been with him since childhood and others he grew to call family as an adult, Jimmy treasured each connection. His close friendships with the class of 1974 - Janice, Kathy, Jerilyn (Moot), Billy, Marcus, Elbert, Emmitt, and Vince - were a testament to the bonds he built over the years, grounded in shared values, laughter, and an enduring love for people. A legend in both high school and college football, Jimmy left a lasting mark on the sport through his talent, dedication, and leadership on the field. Beyond his athletic achievements, he dedicated over four decades to working alongside his brother, James, in their successful business, Jim and James Tires - a partnership built on trust, commitment, and a shared vision. Jimmy's memory lives on through his devoted siblings: Matilda Cribs, Bell Burney, Kathy Henley, Willie Mae Colquitt, Lillie Ware, James Curtis Henley, James Ware, and Larry Henley. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his love and spirit continue to reside in the hearts of all who knew him.
